What cleaning methods are used?

At Rogue we strive to maintain a clean environment. We utilize the best sanitation equipment, and a strict adherence to sterile procedures. All individual cups of ink are disposed of after a single use, and gloves are changed frequently to prevent cross-contamination.

Every needle is single-use, every tube, grip, and tip is thoroughly scrubbed. Before being run through an ultrasonic cleaner to be sterilized under high heat and pressure in our autoclave.

There are also disposable grips that are single use and disposed of properly. Our tattooists are certified in both blood borne pathogens, and CPR.

What are my basic Aftercare instructions?

Each of us have our own slightly different aftercare, but the general rules are the same. Keep it clean, keep it hydrated. We ask you not expose it to sun, soak in pools, baths, or anything of the like. Do not pick or scratch at your healing tattoo. Only use fragrance free products, such as Curel Fragrance Free lotion and/or Dial Gold soap.

What is the touch-up policy?

Everyone has their our own slightly-different policies as far as touch-ups go. Most first touch ups are free when instructions are followed properly. If subsequent touch-ups are needed there will be a fee. Generally this ranges from a simple set up fee to shop minimum to cover costs. If there is gross negligence on behalf of the healer there may be a charge of full price to redo the piece.

Do you perform piercings?

At our shop, we specialize in tattoos, and do not offer piercing services. However, if yinz are interested, we recommend checking out Pittsburgh Body Piercing on Brereton St. They're a woman owned, sensitive, and professional local shop that offers a diverse range of piercing options. Like us, they operate by appointment only, so we suggest reaching out to them directly to schedule your session.

Do you require legal names on your release forms?

No, Dead names are not necessary when filling out our release forms. We respect you, and who you are.

Do you offer apprenticeships?

We do not currently offer apprenticeships. The best advice we could offer you is to keep drawing, and never give up on your passion.

Do you take walk-ins?

Unfortunately, no, we are appointment only. This is meant to ensure adequate time and care for each client. We do occasionally run flash (pre-made artwork) and specialty walk-in sales. These will be announced on our Instagram if and when they happen so make sure to follow us to keep up with the latest news!

What happens with my deposit? Is it refundable?

Deposits are non-refundable. They hold your appointment time, and come off the final cost of your tattoo. They also cover time spent designing your art.
